Can I use two different dental insurance plans from different jobs on one procedure?

Posted on | January 21, 2010 |

So that I don’t have to pay any fees.
oh because I have one real crappy insurance and one great one and like the good one covers 90% of one procedure and the other one can cover the last 10 %, the other procedure is covered 50% by one and also 50% by the other.
Some folks tell me yes. Some folks told me no insurance company’s won’t pay if another company paid part, I’m thinking why the heck not? I’m paying both you!

Yes. You will still have a co-pay though. But, what one card doesn’t pick up, the other one may. Good luck.

you can do use both.. but you will have to pay deductible and most dental offices will want you to pay for what the first doesn’t pay….. keeps their money tied up too long

You submit to one insurance first, see what they cover. If they cover some or none of the procedure, submit to the other insurance.

If one insurance picks up the whole bill. do NOT submit it to the other insurance company. (that is "double billing"..which is fraud)
